Getting readyVorbereitung

Start the botBot starten

Open the unzipped folder and double-click START.bat. On the very first start the bot sets up its own Python environment. That takes about a minute, then the setup begins.Öffne den entpackten Ordner und doppelklick auf START.bat. Beim allerersten Start richtet der Bot seine eigene Python-Umgebung ein. Type your channel name the way it appears in your link (for twitch.tv/yourchannel that's yourchannel) and press Enter.Tipp den Namen deines Channels so ein, wie er in deinem Link steht (bei twitch.tv/deinchannel also deinchannel) und drück Enter.
Create the channel point reward on Twitch if you haven't yet: Creator Dashboard → Community → Channel Points → Manage Rewards → “Add New Custom Reward”. Easiest with exactly this title:Leg auf Twitch die Kanalbelohnung an, falls noch nicht geschehen: Creator-Dashboard → Community → Kanalpunkte → Belohnungen verwalten → „Neue benutzerdefinierte Belohnung“. Am einfachsten mit genau diesem Titel:

If your reward has exactly that name, just press Enter at the title prompt. Otherwise type the title exactly.Heißt deine Belohnung so, drückst du beim Titel einfach Enter. Sonst den Titel genau abtippen.

  To create it: Creator Dashboard -> Community -> Channel Points
  -> "Manage Rewards" -> "Add New Custom Reward".
  Type the EXACT title of that reward here.
  Named it like the text in the brackets? Then just press Enter.

──────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────  To move songs to the top, the bot needs an "app" at Nightbot.
  1. Log in with your Twitch account on the page that opens.
  2. Scroll all the way down to "Your Applications", click "New Application".
  3. Name: anything, e.g. Songrequest Mover  ->  "Create". Then open the app.
  4. Click "Add Redirect URI". If it shows http://localhost:3000, click that
     address and change it to exactly:  http://localhost:8765/callback
  5. At the top you now see "Client ID" and "Client Secret" with copy icons.
     Keep that page open for the next 2 steps.

Redirect URI, Client ID and SecretRedirect-URI, Client-ID und Secret

First the redirect URI. This part is missing in the screenshot.Zuerst die Redirect-URI. Dieser Schritt fehlt im Screenshot.

Click “Add Redirect URI”. If http://localhost:3000 gets inserted, click that address and change it to exactly:Klick auf „Add Redirect URI“. Wird http://localhost:3000 eingefügt, klick direkt auf diese Adresse und änder sie genau auf:

Then check that the full address is shown.Prüf danach, dass die vollständige Adresse angezeigt wird.

Copy the Client ID with icon ①, paste it in the bot window at “Nightbot client ID:” and press Enter.Kopier die Client ID über das Symbol ①, füg sie im Bot-Fenster bei „Nightbot client ID:“ ein und drück Enter.
Copy the Client Secret with icon ②, paste it at “Nightbot client secret:” and press Enter. When you paste the secret, the characters stay invisible. That's on purpose. If you paste the ID instead of the secret by mistake, the bot notices and asks again.Beim Einfügen des Secrets bleiben die Zeichen unsichtbar. Das ist Absicht. Hast du aus Versehen die ID statt des Secrets eingefügt, merkt der Bot das und fragt nochmal.

  Don't show the secret to anyone. The bot stores it encrypted on your PC.

Twitch: in the browser, check that you're logged in with your channel account. If the page shows a code, compare it with the one in the bot window. Double-click before every stream. Keep the window open (minimizing is fine).Vor jedem Stream doppelklicken. Das Fenster offen lassen (minimieren ist ok).

Stops the bot. Nothing else needed.Beendet den Bot. Mehr ist nicht nötig.

SETUP.bat

Different channel, different reward title, or sign in again. The bot runs right after.Anderer Channel, anderer Belohnungstitel oder neu anmelden. Danach läuft der Bot direkt.

Keep the Nightbot music player open during the stream as usual. All messages are also written to data\bot.log.Den Nightbot-Musikplayer während des Streams wie gewohnt geöffnet lassen. Alle Meldungen landen zusätzlich in data\bot.log.

What do the messages mean?Was bedeuten die Meldungen?

`CHECK MANUALLY`	Nightbot didn't answer clearly. Take a quick look at the queue. The bot deliberately doesn't try a second time.Nightbot hat nicht eindeutig geantwortet. Schau kurz in die Queue. Der Bot versucht es absichtlich nicht ein zweites Mal.
`Twitch connection lost`	Short internet dropout. The bot reconnects by itself. Redemptions during exactly that pause are not caught up.Kurzer Internet-Aussetzer. Der Bot verbindet sich selbst neu. Einlösungen genau in dieser Pause holt er nicht nach.
`Channel point reward … not found`	The title doesn't match exactly, or the reward is paused or deleted. Fix it with `SETUP.bat`.Der Titel stimmt nicht genau oder die Belohnung ist pausiert/gelöscht. Mit `SETUP.bat` korrigieren.
`Logged in at Twitch as "…"`	You signed in with a different account. Log out in the browser, then run `SETUP.bat`.Du hast dich mit einem anderen Konto angemeldet. Im Browser abmelden, dann `SETUP.bat`.
`Nightbot login failed`	Usually the redirect URI isn't exactly right (see step 5) or the secret was regenerated. Check, then run `SETUP.bat`.Meist stimmt die Redirect-URI nicht genau (siehe Schritt 5) oder das Secret wurde neu erzeugt. Prüfen, dann `SETUP.bat`.
`Run SETUP.bat`	The sign-in has expired (for example after about two months off) or was revoked. Double-click `SETUP.bat`. IDs you already entered are kept with `Enter`.Die Anmeldung ist abgelaufen (z. B. nach etwa zwei Monaten Pause) oder wurde entzogen. `SETUP.bat` doppelklicken. Bereits eingetragene IDs übernimmst du dabei mit `Enter`.

`Port 8765 is in use`	Another program is blocking the sign-in. Restart your PC and try again.Ein anderes Programm blockiert die Anmeldung. PC neu starten und nochmal versuchen.

Reset everything: close the window and delete the data folder. To also remove the bot's access on the platforms, remove it on Twitch under Settings → Connections and on Nightbot under Settings → Connections.Alles zurücksetzen: Fenster schließen und den Ordner data löschen. Willst du dem Bot den Zugriff auch auf den Plattformen entziehen, entferne ihn bei Twitch unter Einstellungen → Verbindungen und bei Nightbot unter Settings → Connections.

Security: the bot never asks for passwords. The sign-in and the Nightbot secret are stored encrypted, only on your PC. Never share the data folder or your secret.Sicherheit: Der Bot fragt nie nach Passwörtern. Anmeldung und Nightbot-Secret werden verschlüsselt nur auf deinem PC gespeichert. Gib den Ordner data und dein Secret niemals weiter.
